Cristiano Ronaldo: Manchester United star not for sale despite reports of sensational move to Chelsea

Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale and Manchester United expects him to remain at Old Trafford, despite reports linking the Portuguese star with a move to Chelsea.

Cristiano Ronaldo's agent met Chelsea's new co-owner Todd Boehly last week, but Manchester United believes the Portuguese star will remain at Old Trafford ahead of the new Premier League season

United's failure to qualify for the Champions League and lack of signings so far this summer has led to reports that Ronaldo may want to leave.

His agent Jorge Mendes met Chelsea's new co-owner Todd Boehly last week and Ronaldo was mentioned during the meeting, but last month new United manager Erik ten Hag confirmed Ronaldo was part of his future plans.

Ronaldo will be 38 when his United contract runs out next summer.

Arsenal has reached an agreement in principle with Manchester City to sign Gabriel Jesus. There is still work to do to finalize the deal, including medical and personal terms but the fee is understood to be £45m. Arsenal is also expected to go back in with an improved bid for Leeds United forward Raphinha. The north London club put in nearly six months of work with Jesus' representative Marcello Pettinati to ensure they were in pole position to recruit him from the Premier League champions this summer. Jesus indicated his desire to move to the Emirates at the start of June and the only hindrance so far has been the distance between the valuations of both clubs. Jesus wants to reunite with Mikel Arteta, who would regularly offer individual coaching and advice when serving as assistant to Pep Guardiola. Arsenal's strength of pursuit, the fact they are desperately in need of an attacker in his mold, and the opportunity for Jesus to assume more responsibility appeals. "Gabriel...
